Participants will use feedback from their Cliftonstrengths assessment tool to spark engaging discussions, self-reflection activities, and practical exercises. Participants will deepen their understanding of their own leadership style and learn effective strategies for interacting with colleagues of diverse backgrounds. The course culminates in creating a personalized action plan to drive greater team effectiveness and productivity.

Participants will utilize feedback from their Cliftonstrengths assessment tool to identify areas where they can maximize both individual and team strengths. By identifying ways to effectively use these talents within the team, participants will maximize the impact of every team member.
This process is designed to foster an environment that is more effective, collaborative, and cohesive, ensuring that everyone’s strengths are utilized to their fullest potential. By recognizing these opportunities, team members will be better equipped to work together to accomplish Census’ mission and goals.

Course Overview
In this one-day course, participants will apply techniques for purposeful, results-focused writing. Using techniques for clarity, conciseness, completeness, and correct writing for the target audience to understand in plain language a call to action or having the information to make informed decisions. They will learn techniques to connect with the reader and the results they want by applying the seven traits of writing during the writing process.
Course Outcomes
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Use the seven traits of writing to evaluate and improve writing.
- Use the POWER writing process.
- Analyze the purpose, the reader, and context for each writing situation.
- Use plain language in accordance with the Plain Language Act of 2010.
- Select the appropriate tone and writing style.
- Apply design and layout features.

Utilizing feedback from their Cliftonstrengths assessment tool participants will explore their highest strengths, values, principles, and actions that define their impact on the world. Through this course, they will learn how to align daily activities with long-term goals, ensuring that legacy reflects true self. The course includes reflective exercises, strategic planning techniques, and guidance on effective communication to leave a lasting, positive influence in both personal and professional realms.

The course concludes with participants drafting a high-level goal and committing to actionable steps, empowering them to transition purposefully into this next phase—embracing new hobbies, volunteer opportunities, or even fresh career paths.
